🔥 Why I Created FYI Detroit

Detroit is full of beauty, hustle, and heart,  but let’s be real: it’s also full of quiet scams, shady practices, and systems set up to bleed us dry while we’re just trying to survive. And too often, it’s happening right under our noses:

🏪 At the corner gas station.
🧾 On your utility bill.
🏚️ Through fake landlords and eviction threats.
💳 And yes, even when you're just buying a $3 snack and swiping your debit card.

FYI Detroit was born from frustration, from lived experience, and from a desire to stop letting people get away with what they think we won’t notice or question.

This isn’t gossip. This is documentation. This is street knowledge backed by law. This is me using my voice, my receipts, and my research to protect us — one post at a time.
