I lived the nightmare too many Detroit tenants are silently enduring, shady slumlords, foreclosure notices, eviction threats, fake deeds, broken chains of title, and housing fraud hidden behind layers of shell companies and dissolved LLCs. This isn’t just my story; it’s a reality check for many Detroit renter's who have ever felt powerless due to the City of Detroit's failed system, and lack of accountability for the wealthy.

This blog is where I pull back the curtain, expose the scams, loopholes, notary fraud, forged documents, and Michigan housing law violations they hope will never surface. From tax redemption scams to false evictions and unjust enrichment, I am sharing every piece of proof in one place from my experience.

I am Crystal, an AuDHD native of Detroit, and finally free from hopelessness.

My goal is simple: I want you to see and be prepared, with the facts I uncovered after over a year of collecting documents, putting a confusing puzzle together from my last home I will ever live in, in the City of Detroit, Michigan. My hope is that people will be held accountable for their abuse of the system and it's lack of proper fraud protection or empathy for human rights to clean, sanitary housing as well as transparency and honesty all for personal financial gain. More importantly people need to learn their rights under Michigan Landlord-Tenant Law, the Truth in Renting Act, and the Michigan Consumer Protection Act.
