One Memory at a Time
These stories may not arrive in order. My memories do not live in a neat timeline, and healing has never followed one either.
This is where I write about the life I survived, the systems I have had to fight and the pieces of myself I am still learning to understand. Some stories begin in childhood. Others come from raising children, losing jobs, navigating housing instability, surviving black mold and negligent landlords, experiencing racism and discrimination, being dismissed medically, confronting broken court and custody systems, living through domestic violence and alcohol abuse, or trying to rebuild after years spent in survival mode.
I will tell these stories as they return to me, honestly, carefully and one piece at a time.
By subscribing, you are not signing up for a perfectly organized memoir. You are choosing to walk beside me as I make sense of where I came from, reclaim my voice and build a different life for myself and my family.
